Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai had ordered an inquiry in the Karnataka corruption case. He has now set up a probe panel and has said that "major works awarded in my tenure will be scrutinized." Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided 15 govt officials in Karnataka. It revealed that some of them have amassed wealth 400 times their known income. This comes after the Contractors Association in Karnataka wrote to PM Narendra Modi making sensational allegations against the state ministers. Bank Lockers and other items were opened on Thursday and it was found that there is a 400% disparity in income of the raided govt officials versus the total value of the items that were seized from them.
